  1. I need mamacon to grow my business! I’d love to connect with more moms and help them fulfill their dreams (I build websites for fitness professionals and small businesses).

I also just want the opportunity to experience everything that surrounds this event!

  2. Okay, Rafflecopter was being weird for me and I didn’t catch that I had to say why I’d like to attend…so I’m doing another comment just to be sure.

I’d like to take part in the conference with the perspective of being a full time working mom who struggled for almost 4 years to conceive our daughter. She is our absolute joy and I am passionate about connecting with other moms, specifically those who have experienced infertility and miscarriage like myself. I am a blogger and vlogger and would love the opportunity to network with other mom bloggers!

  3. I am about to sound selfish, but I need this for ME. As a SAHM of two, I get zero time to myself. I would give anything to get away, relax and LEARN.

  4. First of all, thank you for this opportunity!! :) I am in dire need of a getaway. Last year was by far the roughest year I have ever had. I am a single mother to a beautiful, smart, creative & loving little girl named Kenady. She is my world and my world almost left me a year ago next month. The first day of her Spring Break and she wakes up so very sick. Throwing up nonstop all day. I took her to the emergency room and they said it was a stomach bug. Nope, it was not. Her appendix ruptured and her whole body was filled with a massive amount of toxins, so much that her little body was so bloated. So they rushed her into emergency surgery and removed the appendix Laproscopically. They said a few hours longer and it would have been fatal. A week later (still in the hospital) she had to have another surgery because she had an abscess and a bowel obstruction and they had to now open her up to get out of all of the toxins and bacteria still present and to correct the abscess and obstruction. She then had to stay in PICU for another week before she could go back to the Pediatric wing. 17 days later I got to bring my love bug home. Two weeks later she finally met her father (he chose to not be part of her life for almost 8 years). On September 2nd he was killed in a motorcycle accident. She only got to see him 3 times before he died. That has been really hard to deal with and she has been in counseling since the accident. Then in November I was hospitalized for 5 days with Pancreatitis and had to have my Gallbladder out the week of Thanksgiving. It was quite the trying year. But we are alive and have a roof over our heads, what more could we ask for? :) Well, a little getaway would be quite lovely…. ;)

  5. I’m the type of person who has always needed me time. I love, love, love being a mom, but sometimes it’s hard to get enough me time. Being able to get away for a few days would be amazing! It’s not in my budget right now, but if I had some financial help I could swing it.

  6. I am a mommy to one 9 month old, and already have #2 on the way. Life is hectic. I would love a tiny break before #2 arrives so I can just enjoy some ME time. I haven’t had any ME time since I had #1…we don’t really go out or anything ….so this would definitely be something fun for me to do. :)

  7. Single mom’in it with a 3 year old and a 7 year old, going to school full time, working full time… I’m due for a break!! Would love to attend mamacon!!

  9. Wow !! Where to begin?? I was laid off in 2010. I am a single mother there is no help from my husband there is nobody but me bringing in income. I lost my car got sick, lost my 14 month old niece, got sick again, filed bankruptcy, was betrayed by a friend all in ONE YEAR!!! I worked on my blog all of 2011 and I now live off my blog. As a single mother its always on me ALL the time. I could use a couple of days to pamper myself.

  10. I need a break! From October – now I have been working on my blog (and 4 other blogs I want to form into a super online magazine!), entertaining out-of-town guests, volunteering at my sons school (15 hours a week), cooking, cleaning, re-decorating, making cakes for school, making meals for school, working on a number of fundraisers, chairing the 8th grade promotion dinner, taking care of a sick husband, kid, and dog, and traveling. Oh….and did I mention that none of this is going to end AND I am PO President @ my sons school next year! I love what I do and who I do it for, but I am tired and need a giant margarita by the pool!!

  11. First, I want to say to Ursula with the comment before me….my heart goes out to you! Hugs!

Now, about me: Managing a blog full-time, raising SEVEN wonderful children and also freelancing on a part-time to full-time basis can sure run a mom down! I love socializing and networking and sharing ideas with other people. Our family has been through its fair share of struggles, but with God in our lives, we always seem to make it through the darkest hours. And, we never forget to be thankful for – and point out – the little blessings in life.

I promise, my kids will only miss me a little bit!

  12. why do I need one? zomg! let me begin…
last Jan. (2010) I had a minor stroke, my son’s (autism issues) became so hard to deal with during school, then in Feb. my husband was admitted to the hospital after almost loosing him to PTSD, march – june were hard trying to keep my health somewhat under control while caring for our kids and focusing more on the husband and son’s care than the rest. On June 2nd my baby graduated kinder, our oldest graduated high school, all 6 kids got out for summer vacation and my husband got out of the Military. After 13 years of that lifestyle we were suddenly lost. June-August we lived with insanity. ALL the kids at home, husband trying to deal with PTSD, with being out of work, out of the Military, we had to leave our home in California and move to NY to live with his relatives to make ends meet.
Our move from Cali to NY was horrible, our van broke a few times on the road, we had to leave our son’s therapy dog behind because husband’s relative’s wouldn’t accept him. MANY MELTDOWNS ON the cross country drive without our Max to comfort my son.
We arrived in NY right after the hurricane and it was chaos, no electricity for days, it’s March and we are still living at “aunt’s” house, it has been SO chaotic, stressfull, and sad. Husband JUST found a job last month, and it will be many months before we can ever move out.
IF EVER I needed some time to get away, it’s for MamaCon. My son’s autism has regresed since being here, he has been physically and verbally abused by teachers and school staff, 2 weeks ago I asked to be taken to the hospital, I felt I was breaking down, on the verge of another stroke.
I’ve never had a massage, or been to a spa, or had a time for myself from our 6 kids, I need it now more than ever ;)
