First, I want to say to Ursula with the comment before me….my heart goes out to you! Hugs!
Now, about me: Managing a blog full-time, raising SEVEN wonderful children and also freelancing on a part-time to full-time basis can sure run a mom down! I love socializing and networking and sharing ideas with other people. Our family has been through its fair share of struggles, but with God in our lives, we always seem to make it through the darkest hours. And, we never forget to be thankful for – and point out – the little blessings in life.
I promise, my kids will only miss me a little bit!

why do I need one? zomg! let me begin…
last Jan. (2010) I had a minor stroke, my son’s (autism issues) became so hard to deal with during school, then in Feb. my husband was admitted to the hospital after almost loosing him to PTSD, march – june were hard trying to keep my health somewhat under control while caring for our kids and focusing more on the husband and son’s care than the rest. On June 2nd my baby graduated kinder, our oldest graduated high school, all 6 kids got out for summer vacation and my husband got out of the Military. After 13 years of that lifestyle we were suddenly lost. June-August we lived with insanity. ALL the kids at home, husband trying to deal with PTSD, with being out of work, out of the Military, we had to leave our home in California and move to NY to live with his relatives to make ends meet.
Our move from Cali to NY was horrible, our van broke a few times on the road, we had to leave our son’s therapy dog behind because husband’s relative’s wouldn’t accept him. MANY MELTDOWNS ON the cross country drive without our Max to comfort my son.
We arrived in NY right after the hurricane and it was chaos, no electricity for days, it’s March and we are still living at “aunt’s” house, it has been SO chaotic, stressfull, and sad. Husband JUST found a job last month, and it will be many months before we can ever move out.
IF EVER I needed some time to get away, it’s for MamaCon. My son’s autism has regresed since being here, he has been physically and verbally abused by teachers and school staff, 2 weeks ago I asked to be taken to the hospital, I felt I was breaking down, on the verge of another stroke.
I’ve never had a massage, or been to a spa, or had a time for myself from our 6 kids, I need it now more than ever

This is a wonderful opportunity for moms
I love this concept, and I’d love to meet all the awesome moms in attendance! Networking with other mothers is what keeps me sane.
Great job putting this together, ladies!
